The annual Cornwall Film Festival kicks off this weekend at Falmouth's National Mritime Museum and The Princess Pavilion. This year's programme includes the premieres of five feature films shot by Cornish film makers including The Midnight Drives directed by Mark Jenkin and Dressing Granite directed by Bill Scott. The Cornish Premiers of the South African comedy Bunny Chow directed by John Barker, and the Gary Hustwit documentary Helvetica which explores global visual culture.The premier of An Jowl yn Agas Kegin – The Devil in your Kitchen, directed by Brett Harvey winner of the 2006 Govynn Kernewek Award and over 150 other films by Cornish film makersincluding drama, documentaries and animation.
There will also be The Big Pitcher competition, where prospective film makers have two minutes to pitch a film idea with the chance of winning £100 to make a film, plus the premieres of last year's winning film.
Professional development events will be running which include practical workshops giving tips on using low budget lighting and HD cameras and lectures from industry professionals. Also on the bill is the return of Board Shorts at the Sandsifter, Godrevey, promising action packed surf films, live music and DJ's. and a two day Festival of young peoples' film has been organised by young people from across Cornwall for under 18s only.

Hi Tom
This story is of interest to your audience but it would benefit from more of a student/ college focus. UCF and its students played an important part in the festival.
Structurally, your paragraphs are much too long and in places this reads like a list of films -- there is no information here that would not be available elsewhere.
Remember that these assignments require at least two original quotes.
